From May 7 to June 18 2025, in celebration of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, the Collaborative Research Center 1225 ISOQUANT and the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics (MPIK) invite you to a special lunchtime lecture series: Quantum at noon: From small particles to big ideas (Quanten zum Mittag: Von kleinen Teilchen und großen Ideen)
How do quantum effects shape our world – from the basic building blocks of matter to the development of new technologies? How can atomic nuclei be used to measure time? Why is dark matter detectable deep underground? And how can the Big Bang be investigated in the lab? These and other fascinating questions are addressed in short, easy-to-follow presentations by researchers from MPIK and ISOQUANT.
