Abstract:
“New Links Between Different Systems” is a documentation of the first cross-disciplinary collaboration between science and visual arts at Heidelberg University, jointly established by CRC 1225 ISOQUANT, a Collaborative Research Centre for quantum physics and Kalamari Klub, an international collective for the celebration of analog photography. From 2020 to 2023, the project was built upon an extensive dialog between artists and scientists, consisting of residencies, workshops, exhibitions, publications and artist talks. Aiming to unveil previously uncharted connections between science and art, this publication is intended to work as a comprehensive documentation of the project and provide inspiration for other institutions interested in the potential of collaborations across disciplines.
